PETITE CERISE

CUISINE FRANCAIS

THE PROJECT

Petite Cerise is a Francophile’s favorite all-day dining option to slow down and savor.

THE BRIEF

Our goal was to create an identity for a French all-day-dining experience, where slowing down is paramount and leisurely conversation is the main dish. The identity has an intentionally handmade quality and the signature mark is a snail wearing a cherry on its back. The snail is a symbol of slowing down, while the cherry on top reinforces the name which translates to Little Cherry. The hand-drawn illustrations represent seasonal ingredients and relaxed dining, and the color palette takes direct inspiration from the luxuriously green cooking range on full display in the open kitchen.

THE WORK

The delight is in the details. We came up with a custom snail paper clip for the check presenter—fun to design but a pain to get produced! Still, they were worth the trouble. Guests who express appreciation for the clip are rewarded with a gesture of hospitality and given one as a keepsake.
